The Dojo iMate X 20K Kit is a sliding hub + prefilled pod. Out of box: 5× click to wake, slide the pod up into the hub for normal use, slide down for Stealth Mode (LCD hidden), or pop off for Standalone Mode. Toggle ECO/PWR with a 2× click. Cycle 14 wallpaper themes with long-press. Charge the hub via USB-C — pod charges through the hub.

i
Quick tip · before you start

The iMate X ships in deep-sleep mode. If your hub doesn't respond to 5× click out of the box, plug it into USB-C for 10 minutes and try again. This is normal — not a defect.

01
STEP 01

Unbox and inspect the Dojo iMate X 20K Kit

Pull the hub and the prefilled pod from the retail tray. Before doing anything else, confirm the silver scratch-code authentication panel is intact on the outer carton — a pre-scratched panel signals either a returned-and-resold unit or a counterfeit. Inspect the hub chassis and pod for shipping damage. Wipe the magnetic dock contact pins on both pieces with a clean dry microfiber cloth before first use; manufacturing residue on the contacts is a common cause of false yellow-LED handshake errors on day one. Save the box and the authentication card until you have verified the 16-digit code at check.vaporesso.com — both pieces are required to start a warranty claim if a defect surfaces in the first 30 days.

02
STEP 02

Wake the iMate X hub for the first time

Click the side button 5 times in quick succession. The HD LCD lights up and cycles through a Vaporesso boot animation before settling on the default wallpaper. The side LED transitions to a steady white for a moment before going dark — normal idle state. If the hub doesn't respond to the 5× click pattern on the very first try, don't panic: fresh hubs ship in deep-sleep mode to preserve cell charge during international transit, and many units require 10 minutes of USB-C charging before they accept the wake sequence. Plug into a 5W USB-C source, wait the 10 minutes, then retry. If still no response after a full 30-minute initial charge, the LED is dead-on-arrival and qualifies for warranty replacement; photograph the hub, the box, and the authentication card and email service@dojo-vapes.com.

03
STEP 03

Dock the iMate X pod onto the hub

Slide the prefilled pod up into the hub from below. As the pod approaches the dock alignment slot, four magnets on the contact face engage and pull the pod the final 2 mm into perfect alignment — a deliberate Vaporesso engineering touch that prevents the misalignment-and-rotation problem common on cheaper pod systems. When seating completes, the HD LCD displays a green tick mark and the LED on the side flashes once in white to confirm a successful pod handshake. The chip reads the pod-specific TFC profile (coil resistance, recommended wattage curve, flavor authentication code) and loads it. If you see a yellow icon instead of the green tick, the contacts haven't made full electrical connection — slide the pod off, wipe the contacts again, and re-dock with deliberate pressure to encourage the magnetic snap.

⚠ WARNING A yellow blinking LED means the pod isn't seated correctly. Re-dock 2-3 times. If it persists, try a fresh pod and email service@dojo-vapes.com.
04
STEP 04

Take your first draw on the Dojo iMate X

The iMate X is draw-activated — there is no fire button to hold. Bring the drip tip to your lips and inhale gently for the first draw. The TFC chip needs roughly 5–8 calibration puffs to read your individual draw pressure and tune the pod-specific wattage curve, which means the first session can feel slightly cooler than the device is capable of. Flavor density and vapor production sharpen noticeably by the third or fourth draw of the second session, by which point the chip has built a confident pressure profile. Use mouth-to-lung style draws (1.5–2 seconds, gentle but firm) for the most consistent flavor; direct-to-lung style (3+ seconds, harder inhale) works but burns through the pod faster than the rated puff count would suggest.

05
STEP 05

Toggle between ECO and PWR power modes

Double-click the side button to switch between ECO and PWR modes. ECO is the default ship state and sips current — it stretches the rated puff count toward the upper end of the theoretical range (around 22,000 lab puffs, 14,000–16,000 real-world) and produces a slightly cooler, more measured vapor. PWR pulls harder wattage with each draw and produces a denser, warmer vapor but burns through the pod faster (theoretical ~18,000 puffs, 12,000–14,000 real-world). The LCD mode icon updates in real time as you toggle. There is no wrong choice — match the mode to your draw style and the time of day (most users prefer ECO for daily carry and PWR for evening sessions).

06
STEP 06

Cycle through the 14 wallpaper themes on the LCD

Long-press the side button for 2 seconds. The LCD cycles forward to the next wallpaper theme. Repeat the long-press to continue through all 14 wallpapers — a mix of solid color gradients, geometric patterns, brand iconography, and a few animated motion themes that loop at the screen refresh rate. The chip remembers your selection across charge cycles, pod swaps, and even full battery discharge events; you only need to set the wallpaper once. If you accidentally cycle past a wallpaper you wanted, just long-press through the full set again — 14 themes cycles in about 28 seconds of total long-press time.

07
STEP 07

Use the Dojo iMate X Stealth Mode

Slide the hub body down over the pod (the reverse motion of docking). The LCD screen physically slides behind the pod chassis and goes dark to the outside observer. The chip and the coil firing path remain fully active — you can still take draws normally, with the same flavor and vapor output as the LCD-visible state. Stealth Mode is intended for pocket carry, meeting situations, or any context where a glowing screen is socially or environmentally inappropriate. Slide the hub back up over the pod to expose the LCD again. The transition between Stealth and visible is mechanical (no software) so there is no boot time or handshake delay.

08
STEP 08

Run the iMate X pod in Standalone Mode (no hub)

Pop the pod off the hub completely. The pod is draw-activated and works as a basic disposable on its own 400 mAh internal cell. You lose three things in Standalone Mode: the HD LCD (no battery or juice readout), the 14 wallpaper themes, and the TFC chip auto-tuning of the wattage curve. The pod's flavor density is slightly less consistent in Standalone Mode because the wattage curve is fixed rather than dynamically tuned — but it is perfectly functional for backup carry, brief excursions where you don't want to pocket the hub, or for trying a second flavor side-by-side without buying a second hub. Re-docking the pod restores all hub features automatically.

09
STEP 09

Charge the iMate X hub via USB-C

Plug a quality USB-C cable into the port on the bottom of the hub. The LCD displays a battery-fill animation that refreshes once per second and the side LED switches to a slow green pulse. Full charge from a hard 0 percent takes approximately 1.5 hours at 5W input (5V/1A from a phone-class wall adapter). Charging proceeds through a standard CC-CV profile, so the final 10 percent takes proportionally longer than the first 50 percent — this is normal cell chemistry. The hub does not over-charge — the chip detaches the cell from the input rail at 100 percent. If charging while the pod is docked, the hub passes current through the magnetic contacts to the pod's 400 mAh cell automatically; you don't need a separate pod-charging step.

10
STEP 10

Swap a finished iMate X pod for a fresh one

Pod end-of-life signs include LCD reading 0 percent juice, a noticeable thinning of vapor density, and sometimes a faint burnt taste on heavy draws (the cotton is running dry). When you observe any of these, slide the pod down off the magnetic dock. Snap a fresh pod onto the dock — the hub retains your last wallpaper selection, ECO/PWR setting, and remaining hub battery charge across the swap. The new pod's TFC profile is read during the docking handshake, so flavor consistency on the new pod is calibrated within 3–5 calibration puffs. There is no software reset or boot delay between pod swaps.

11
STEP 11

Verify your Dojo iMate X is authentic

Scratch the silver authentication panel on the outer retail box to reveal the 16-digit alphanumeric code. Enter the code at check.vaporesso.com — the portal returns a verification result in under 5 seconds. Genuine codes return 'Genuine — first verification today' for fresh boxes, or 'Genuine — previously verified N times' for re-checks. Any 'unknown' or 'invalid' result indicates a potential counterfeit; if your order came through dojo-vapes.com we honor warranty replacement under the 30-day quality window regardless of the verification result. If your order came through a third-party retailer, an invalid code is grounds to dispute the purchase with that retailer; we cannot replace devices we did not sell.

FAQ

Common Dojo Vape Questions

How do I turn on the Dojo iMate X?
Click the side button 5 times in quick succession. The HD LCD lights up to your last-saved wallpaper. If the hub doesn't respond, plug into USB-C for 10 minutes — fresh hubs ship in deep sleep to preserve battery during shipping.
How do I switch ECO and PWR mode on iMate X?
Double-click the side button to toggle between ECO (longer puff total, ~22,000 puffs theoretical) and PWR (denser vapor, shorter total, ~18,000 puffs). The mode icon on the LCD updates in real time. Default ships in ECO.
How do I cycle the 14 wallpaper themes on iMate X?
Long-press the side button for 2 seconds. The LCD cycles to the next wallpaper. Repeat to keep cycling through all 14. The hub remembers your last selection across charge cycles and pod swaps.
What is Stealth Mode on the Dojo iMate X?
Slide the hub down over the pod and the LCD goes dark. The chip stays active (you can still vape) but the screen sleeps. Useful for pocket carry or meetings where you don't want a glowing display.
Can I use just the iMate X pod without the hub?
Yes. Pop the pod off and use it standalone as a basic draw-activated disposable. You lose the HD LCD, the 14 wallpapers, and TFC auto-tuning — but the pod hits fine alone. Good for backup carry.
How long does the iMate X hub take to charge?
About 1.5 hours from empty to full via USB-C at 5W input. The hub then charges the docked pod through the magnetic connection — no separate pod cable.
What does the green tick on the iMate X LCD mean?
Pod handshake succeeded. The hub has recognized the pod's TFC chip and loaded the pod-specific wattage map. If you see a yellow icon instead, slide the pod off, wipe contacts with a dry cloth, and re-dock.
How do I swap an iMate X pod for a different flavor?
Slide the pod down off the dock. Snap a fresh pod on. The hub keeps your wallpaper preference, charge level, and last-used ECO/PWR state. Pod-flavor changes don't reset hub settings.
